If it is possible to verify a Google account without a respective mobile device, Google also provides us with information about it, in the session called “Google help”. For this, we have two options depending on the situation in which you find yourself, these are:
– If the Android device does not have access to the Internet or there is no network available at that time, if you have access to your mobile phone but you do not have access to the Internet, you can verify your identity by selecting the option on the verification screen that appears as “more verification methods” and later where it says “receive a security code on my Android phone”, also your phone through a text message should receive said code.
If your mobile device is not available or you do not have a registered telephone number associated with your account, this being the case, you must select the option that states “find another way to log in, can’t you use your mobile?
Once this is done, 3 alternatives will appear:
1. Alternative phone number: You will have the option to enter a different phone number that is available, to receive a verification code; It should be noted that said number can be any of your family nucleus or even a completely alternate number of your property.
2. Backup codes: refers to codes provided by your Google account, which you can save on your computer or print if you prefer; Well, these give you access to verify your account without a mobile device, where you could do it by entering any of those codes. It should be noted that once the use of these codes is exhausted, they are automatically discarded and new ones are generated.
3. Register your trusted devices: This option is recommended for those users who constantly use different devices, however, they are trusted devices. That way, once Google asks you to verify your identity on the device, indicate “don’t ask again on this computer” that way, you won’t have to go through the verification process every time you try to sign in from that computer. This option is completely valid when entering mobile devices or Tablet.
