Craigslist is an online advertising website, but the increased use of spam advertising has caused the company to tighten its security requirements. Currently, you are not allowed to place ads unless you have a landline or cell phone that can be verified. VoIP numbers are not accepted by Craigslist because they can be changed easily and frequently, making it a popular phone choice for a spammer. If you have VoIP as your phone – only option , you can still advertise on Craigslist , but you must use an indirect method.
Email Instructions
Go to the Craigslist website and click “About” and click “Contact Us” (see Resources). Select “Phone Authentication Issue”.

Fill in the form and supply your email and your VoIP phone number. Explain that you only have a VoIP phone number and you want a customer service representative to verify this number.
You will receive an email or call a Craigslist representative who will help you manually verify your phone number.
BY PHONE
With Customer Service at 1-800-664-0633 Craigslist. Select the customer service option from the instructions given by the answering machine. Choose the phone authentications option.
Wait for a customer service representative to come to the phone. Discuss the issue with the representative. He will inform you if he can verify the account manually.
We expect the customer service representative to call you back and verify the VoIP phone number.
Purchase Preverified account
Visit a website like The PVA Store, Craigslist Accounts or Verified Craigslist Phone Accounts (see Resources) if you can’t get your VoIP phone verified or have too many Craigslist accounts already.
Purchase the number of verified Craigslist accounts you need.
Receive usernames, passwords and emails for the number of verified Craigslist user accounts you have purchased in your email account.
